Ortigas Center at Pasig City’s eastern area is one of Metro Manila’s major central business districts. The area has always been a buzzing business and trading location. The numerous towering and modern structures in every corner show the area’s highly urbanized developments over the years.

For a more upscale shopping offering high quality and luxury brands, The Podium along ADB avenue and Shangri-la Plaza beside SM Megamall are the best places to go.

Capitol Commons, the newest addition to the area’s lifestyle attractions, is situated at the corners of Meralco Avenue and Shaw Boulevard, which features a green park and modern residences and spaces. Estancia Mall also offers high-end, international brands for shoppers.

A few walks from Capitol Commons is the Kapitolyo, where food lovers can find a wide variety of good eats, from restaurants serving local favorites to homemade specialties and coffee shops.

Laidback Attractions in Ortigas Center

Lopez Museum and Library

There are also laidback attractions people can visit in Ortigas Center. The privately-owned Lopez Museum and Library was founded by Don Eugenio Lopez, Sr., in 1960. Located at the Benpres Building, the institution specializes in Philippine art and history. It was established with the founder’s goal to share his collections of rare books, manuscripts, archeological finds, and art pieces.

Ortigas Park is a quiet open space along Emerald Avenue. It is ideal for those who want a little getaway, a relaxing stroll, and fresh air. The park is surrounded by several coffee shops and stores that complement an afternoon break or stroll.
